A LESSON TO BE LEARNED.

Because disasters happen so frequently, each occupies our television screens for a short while and then disappear until the next disaster. Whether we learn anything from the disasters is a very moot point. The horror which recently befell the Amish Families is a case in point. Now that they have buried their loved ones, I doubt whether we shall or hear anything of them, for quite a while, if then. What struck me was their simplicity, quiet dignity, their genuine compassion for those outside their clan. To handle such a horror in the way they did, and still do, is a lesson we should all learn. 'It's not the problem that's the problem, it's the way we handle the problem, that's the problem.'. [and it will be a very long time before I write truer words]. When we remember the insane zealots of all religions, the bible thumpers, not to mention the very dangerous Jesus Camp which is making an art of brainwashing children, one can have nothing but admiration for the Amish Families. Talk about teaching by example. Will we learn? Very very doubtful.

The way the Amish Families conduct their business follows very closely to the way JC Himself conducted his. Looking at the way they run their society, and they way we run ours, it's pretty obvious we have nothing to offer them, or can teach absolutely nothing.

The Amish Families, a class act all the way, I would say.
